Repair Risks
Electronic repairs carry inherent risks and can be unpredictable. Your device may have underlying issues that only become apparent during the repair process, or it may be damaged beyond repair. Components on circuit boards, especially in liquid-damaged devices, can deteriorate over time, oxidize, corrode, or fail unexpectedly. Repairs on devices with glued screens (such as iPads and many modern phones) require carefully prying the screen to access internals—this process, while performed with expertise, carries a small risk of the glass cracking or breaking. Touch ID, Face ID, or other biometric features on Apple devices may stop functioning after a repair due to the condition of the device; although uncommon, this can occur. By requesting service from Mobile Medic, you acknowledge these risks and agree that we are not liable for any pre-existing or unforeseen damage that may arise during a professional repair attempt.
Estimates
We strive to provide accurate and thorough estimates upfront. However, some issues cannot be fully diagnosed until the repair process begins. Your estimate may change if additional problems are discovered. We will always contact you immediately with any updated pricing or recommended changes and will not proceed without your explicit approval. The original estimate remains valid for the scope of work it was provided for.
Limited 60-Day Warranty
All repairs performed by Mobile Medic come with a 60-day warranty on both parts and labor. If the same issue recurs within 60 days of the original repair, we will fix it again at no additional cost. This warranty covers defects related to the parts we installed and the work we performed.
Warranty Exclusions
The 60-day warranty does not cover:
New issues or symptoms unrelated to the original repair
Software problems (viruses, OS issues, etc.)
Repairs using customer-supplied or third-party parts
Physical damage after the repair (drops, cracks, bends, liquid exposure, extreme temperatures)
Electrical damage from improper charging or power sources
Damage caused by malware, viruses, or harmful software
Any tampering, opening, or modification of the device after our repair (including use of non-original charging cables that may cause issues)
Services that may void the original manufacturer’s warranty (you accept this risk by choosing our service)
If the device shows signs of post-repair physical damage or tampering, the warranty is void.
Warranty Claims
If an issue related to the original repair occurs within 60 days, contact us right away. Since we are a mobile service, we will arrange to come to you or meet at a convenient location to inspect and repair the device under warranty at no charge. If the issue is unrelated, we will provide a new estimate before proceeding.
Estimate and Repair Time
We specialize in same-day mobile repairs whenever possible, but completion time depends on part availability, device condition, and workload. While most repairs are completed quickly on-site, some may require ordering parts or additional time. We cannot guarantee an exact completion time, and any stated time frames are estimates only.
Replacement Parts
We stock common parts to enable same-day service. If a special-order part is needed, we will inform you of the cost, expected arrival time, and obtain your approval before ordering. We generally use only high-quality parts we source ourselves to ensure reliability and warranty coverage. Customer-supplied parts are installed at your own risk and are not covered by our 60-day warranty.
Repair Attempt Fee
For complex repairs (e.g., motherboard-level work, data recovery, or devices with prior repair attempts), a diagnostic/repair attempt fee of $40–$100 may apply if the device ultimately cannot be repaired. This covers the time and expertise spent diagnosing and attempting the fix. We will inform you of any potential fee upfront.
Data Responsibility
We take every precaution to preserve your data, but we cannot guarantee against data loss during repair. We strongly recommend backing up your device before service. If a procedure carries a known risk of data loss, we will inform you in advance and offer backup options when possible.
Unclaimed Devices
After completing a repair, we will contact you to arrange pickup or delivery. Due to limited storage, devices left unclaimed for more than 60 days after notification may be considered abandoned. Mobile Medic reserves the right to dispose of or recycle the device after this period. To avoid this, please respond promptly or make arrangements for extended storage (subject to a monthly storage fee).
